colour scheme is very non-Christmas!
I didn't actually plan my card to
be like this but it just sort of evolved!
My original idea was to have
three reindeer but in a portrait style card.
I was planning to use trees
somehow which is why I started with green - Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede
for the reindeer.
When I'd finished my card yesterday, I was thinking it needed some red in it - maybe some robins, or some
holly with berries.
Looking at it again this morning, I don't think it does!
started my card with a Pear Pizazz Cardstock (CS) base, a layer of
Whisper White CS and a top layer of Pear Pizzazz CS.
I tried stamping three
reindeer in a vertical line and then die cutting the squares from the top
This was surprisingly a lot more difficult than I expected it
I gave up on that idea and tried it the other way round!
I die cut the three windows and then cut the three reindeer into
individuals "squares" that I was able to fit behind each window so much
The reindeer image is from the Greetings from Santa Stamp Set.
used the snow stamp from the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set as the background but did it
after I'd created the windows and frames - not the easiest nor the best way of doing it! LOL!
I used Pear Pizzazz Ink for the tone on tone look.
created the window frame using the Square Layering Framelits dies.
hope Stampin' Up! never retire the three sets of Layering Dies -
Circles, Ovals and Squares - I love the way they create these very narrow frames!
The Soft Suede Ribbon I've used is a retired product, unfortunately.
It's such a gorgeous soft ribbon and it's so easy to tie beautiful bows with!
sentiment is the very well used one from the Seasonal Bells Stamp Set.
I stamped it onto a
piece of Whisper White CS, using Soft Suede Ink, and then I cut it out by hand.
We didn't receive a phone call from the doctor's surgery yesterday, so we assume hubby's white blood cell count is alright!
He's going to spend the day in bed again, but is getting very bored - hopefully this means he's beginning to feel a bit better!
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
