Good News For You - Good News For Me

Hello, Crafters.
The good news for you is that the new Spring (Occasions) catalogue is now live!

Why not get yourself a cup of tea/coffee, sit yourself comfortably and click on the image to your left. Then you can enjoy having a browse through the catalogue and make a wish list. Then click on the image of the Sale-a-bration catalogue immediately below the Spring catalogue and choose which free gifts you want to put on your wish list.
If you're new to Sale-a-bration (SAB), it's the best event in the Stampin' Up! calendar. It starts today and runs until 31st March 2016. For every €60.00/£45.00 you spend in my 24/7 Online Stampin' Up! Shop (excluding delivery) you can choose a FREE product from the SAB catalogue. This is for every €60.00/£45.00 you spend, which means if you spend €120.00/£90.00, you can choose two FREE products!

Please note that the last three products in the catalogue - i.e. the Sky Is The Limit Stamp Set, the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper and the Hello Stamp Set - will  only be available until 15th February 2016. So if you put these on your wish list, make sure you put them towards the top!
The good news for me is that I had it confirmed yesterday that I'll be on the Stampin' Up! stand at the Make It Show in Farnborough again this year, at the end of February. I did it last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself! It's a great opportunity to spend two days (new format this year - it used to be three days) talking to hundreds of people about card making, paper craft, Stampin' Up! and anything else anyone wants to talk about! LOL! There will be five of us each day so we can do demonstrations as well as make-n-takes.
Do you remember in my blog yesterday, I said the first flower I did for yesterday's card was on vellum but I changed my mind? I re-did it onto Whisper White Card Stock and put the vellum flower on one side for another day - today is that day!
This card is a "first" for me in as much as I haven't put a sentiment on it. I keep looking at it thinking "shall I, shan't I?" I think I'll decide to go without but what do you think?
To make this card I obviously started with the Vellum flower from the new Birthday Blooms Stamp Set (page 9) which I'd painted using the Blushing Bride, Mint Macaroon and So Saffron Marker Pens. I die cut it using the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies no 6. The piece of vellum wasn't quite big enough to cut a perfect oval.

It was big enough to be covered by the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper (page 17) frame that I cut using dies no 5 and 6. I also die cut a Whisper White oval using die no 6 and adhered it to the Vellum image  using Tombow.

To put the card together, I adhered a piece of Blushing Bride Card Stock to a card base of Whisper White. I cut the stripey top layer from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (page 9). I adhered the image and the frame using Tombow for both.

Then I painted the whole image with the clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Pen (page 24). The final touch was the bow which I made using the beautiful Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon that comes with the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit (page 17).
If you choose to order the items I've put a page number by, you'll qualify for one free product from the SAB catalogue!

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

  1. It LOOKS fabulous as is, without a sentiment, but I confess, my brain is still "stuck" in wanting to do a sentiment for card fronts also ... not sure I've been able to achieve the "without" look yet; but have kept it very small. Honestly, this is perfect! Beautiful colours too ... love it; love what you do!!

  2. Hi, Geraldine. I feel the same about sentiments as you do. I feel that without a sentiment it doesn't look like a card - it looks like a picture that should be framed! Glad you like it anyway! Happy crafting, JanB. ☺
